Feeling sceptical about ditching the wire?
We reached out to one of our incredible ladies in our LoveRose community to write about her wirefree experience.
I’m Debbie, I have had a double mastectomy without reconstruction. Before surgery I had a variety of beautiful colourful lingerie sets. I struggled to find anything similar for my post-surgery body. What appealed to me about LoveRose is the gorgeous colours they offered, which made me feel like me again! Pre surgery I only wore wired underwear as I felt I needed it to support my bust. I did question whether wirefree would support me all day in the same way? Let’s see…
7am- wake up, slip on my Satin Assassin robe while I get ready for the day ahead. My robe always makes me feel wonderful. My LoveRose lingerie adds a pop of green in my underwear drawer, it makes me feel like the me before cancer, paired with my boost breast forms and the day has started.
9am- Breakfast date with my daughter and I’m feeling great in my matching lingerie set which is not something that post-surgery ladies like me are able to easily source unfortunately, until I found LoveRose!
2pm- Dog walk with a pal and her lovely pooch, my LoveRose bra works with me and is so comfortable even when throwing sticks during a long game of fetch!
6pm- Back home to get ready for a change of pace this evening. The pocket design on the Hey Good Lookin’ Bra means I can adjust the breast forms easily or completely change them if I need to- depending on the evenings outfit!
8pm- This evening I’m out to a concert with my husband. Wearing my matching set unlike anything else I’ve found in the shops, makes me feel sexy and empowered. Ready to sing and dance all night long!
11pm- I get home and I slip right back into my Satin Assassin robe which is such a touch of luxury to end my wonderful day.
Verdict...
I totally believe that feeling good for my day starts with my lingerie. The lace is so soft and wearing my matching set made me feel sexy and empowered just for me! I was sceptical about a wirefree bra being able to hold up my prosthesis and support me all day, but I’m converted- it’s just so comfortable!!
